Savo – Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Savo – Video Downloader app ("Savo", "the app") handles, why, and the choices you have. Savo does not require an account and has no server of its own: links are processed and videos are downloaded directly on your device.
1. Information the app handles on your device
- Links you paste or share to the app. The app sends a link only to the website it belongs to (for example, the video platform) in order to find the available video and audio formats and to download the file. We do not receive or store these links.
- Downloaded files. Files are saved to your device's storage (Movies/Music folders). They are not uploaded anywhere.
- Browser data. The built-in browser keeps your history, bookmarks and open tabs on your device only. You can delete history and bookmarks in the app at any time.
- Settings. Your preferences (language, default quality, Wi-Fi-only, parallel downloads) are stored on your device only.
2. Information collected by third-party services
The app uses the following services from other companies. They may collect information from your device as described in their own privacy policies.

3. Consent and your choices
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from the app.
- You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- You can delete all data stored by the app on your device by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. Downloaded files stay in your device folders until you delete them.
4. Permissions
- Internet and network state – to find and download videos and to show ads.
- Notifications – to show download progress and completed downloads.
- Foreground service – to keep downloads and background music playback running when the app is not on screen.
The app does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, or your existing photos and videos.
5. Data sharing and sale
We do not sell your personal information. Apart from the third-party services listed above, we do not share information from the app with anyone.
6. Data retention
We do not keep copies of your links or files. Analytics and crash data are kept by Google according to the Firebase retention settings (up to 14 months for analytics events, 90 days for crash reports). Advertising and attribution partners keep data according to their own policies.
7. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us so we can help remove it.
8. Your responsibility for downloaded content
Only download content that you own or have permission to use. Savo does not support downloading from YouTube or content protected by DRM.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
